Man Faces Murder Charge After Allegedly Stalking, Killing Exotic Dancer in Fort Worth

Stanley Frank Szeliga, 54, was arrested on October 28 in connection to the fatal highway shooting of Abigail “Abby” Saldaña, 22, of Dallas, Texas.

A Texas man is facing a murder charge after allegedly stalking and murdering an exotic dancer in Fort Worth, Dallas.

NBC 5 News reports Stanley Frank Szeliga, 54, has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of Abigail “Abby” Saldaña, 22. Saldana was an exotic dancer at Rick’s Cabaret, in Fort Worth, Texas. Authorities claim Szeliga was a regular customer at the strip club.

Saldaña was killed on Oct. 26 as she drove down a Fort Worth highway. Police discovered Saldaña after receiving a 911 call about an accident on the highway. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found a woman shot to death in her car. They later identified the victim as Saldaña.

During the investigation, managers of Rick’s Cabaret told police Saldaña had recently been worried about a particular patron named Stan, claiming that he was irritated with her over money and that he had threatened to report her to police.

Less than two weeks before her murder, Saldaña took to Instagram to show a GPS tracker she claims Szeliga put on her car to follow her.

“This was literally on my car like this,” Saldaña wrote. “This is why you have to be careful. I don’t know what to do moving forward with this. But this definitely looks like a tracker to me.”

The GPS tracker has been booked into evidence as part of the murder investigation, police told NBC 5.

“There is a tracker on this vehicle that we have identified,” Fort Worth police officer Tracy Carter said. “We don’t know how long that tracker has been on. That’s something our detectives are looking into.”

Meanwhile, the Daily Beast reports that Szeliga, just days after Saldaña posted about the GPS tracker, had taken to Instagram to reveal he’d been making Zelle payments to her.

“I never thought I’d be one of those guys taken advantage of,” Szeliga wrote. “Sharing for awareness. Abigail S. and I, since July 2021, we have been enjoying each other’s company. She’s so beautiful and personable that I envisioned a future with her. But dealing with all the lies is overwhelming, I realize that’s part of your primary job as an adult entertainer.”

Szeliga continued, “If you only leave your second job, being in a high-end prostitution ring we could move forward. Yes, this pays $2000 per session, but it’s illegal. And having a boyfriend whilst having sex with other men?!”

Szeliga is currently being held in the Tarrant County Jail with bond set at $250,000.
