Let's see if this catches on.

Between navigating the long lines at airport security, coming to terms with the possibility of a delay, and dealing with other people in their own various stages of scatterbrain behavior, flying is already a stressful ordeal. The last thing you probably want is for that eagerly anticipated prolonged silence in the airplane to be endlessly interrupted by a screaming baby.

Luckily, Japan Airlines has introduced a new seating chart that will let you know where a child will be seated as you book your flight, CNN reports. "Passengers traveling with children between 8 days and 2 years old who select their seats on the JAL website will have a child icon displayed on their seats on the seat selection screen," the airline's website reads.

Thank you, @JAL_Official_jp for warnings me about where babies plan to scream and yell during a 13 hour trip. This really ought to be mandatory across the board.

Please take note, @qatarairways: I had 3 screaming babies next to me on my JFK-DOH flight two weeks ago. pic.twitter.com/kQYQFIqqCD

Japan Airlines warns that flights booked solely through their website will have the baby icon, and the feature will not available when there's a change in aircraft.

Reactions to the news was mixed on Twitter with some thankful for the changes while others not so much.

I'd like a map to avoid people who are such assholes they don't understand that babies cry. Especially when they're 20,000 feet in the air and the pressure is all weird. Get a life.
