A Friday night brawl at the Gable House Bowl in Torrance, California boiled over into a deadly shooting that left three people dead and four more injured, according to the Associated Press.

Witnesses who were at the bowling alley say the fight started as an argument between two large groups. By the time police arrived, seven people had been shot. According to Torrance Police Sgt. Ronald Harris, two of those injured were transported to a hospital while the others opted to take themselves to seek medical attention.

“Our hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones during this incident,” Harris said in a press conference at the bowling alley.

Harris added that they were attempting to piece together the story to “identify the suspects and whoever else was involved."

A cell phone video from inside the alley shows the aftermath of the shooting.

Alley regular Damone Thomas remembered hiding behind an overturned table in the karaoke section after hearing the gunshots. While the 30-year-old said he didn't feel panicked in the moment, the weight of the situation hit him later.

“Closing my eyes, all I can see is the women against the wall crying, not knowing what to do,” he said.

California congressional representative and Torrance native Ted Lieu sent his condolences to the victims on Twitter.
