If you were to close your eyes and picture the city of Toronto, chances are the first image that crosses your mind would be the infamous CN Tower. The giant needle has become, without a doubt, the most recognizable part of the city's skyline and has welcomed millions of tourists since opening its doors more than forty years ago. The CN Tower, or the Tour CN if you stayed in French immersion, has truly become a global celebrity thanks to photographers, architecture fanatics, and of course Aubrey Drake Graham.

Normally, something so ubiquitous doesn't require any promotion, but the masterminds at the Tour CN have different ideas. Today, residents of Toronto woke up to a brand new CN Tower mascot, and without heaping too much onto the poor guy, let's just say it's a little strange and totally underwhelming. What did the city's marketing gurus come up with, you say? Is it a bird, a playful raccoon, or some cutesy thing of that nature? How about a maple leaf or some other uninventive Canadiana? Nope, that's not it at all.

Today, the CN Tower debuted its new mascot the um... CN Tower. Before you roll your eyes, did we mention that the mini tower has two arms and is some nightmarish humanoid? Yes, in the strangest news of the week, the CN Tower has disappointed us in a way we could have never expected. But don't just take our word for it, check out some of the best reactions on social media.
