A South Carolina woman who went missing two months ago was found in a storage container where she was “chained like a dog,” Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright told FOX Carolina. Kayla Brown, 30, told authorities that she watched her captor, real estate agent and registered sex offender Todd Kohlhepp, shoot and kill her boyfriend, who was also missing.

Brown and Charlie Carver, 32, became friends with Kohlhepp after meeting him online, at which point Brown began working for Kohlhepp, cleaning houses for him before he showed them to clients. Kohlhepp was arrested and charged with kidnapping, but has yet to be charged with murder.

While authorities have yet to confirm Carver's death, they did find a body buried on Kohlhepp’s rural property on Friday a spokesperson for South Carolina's Spartanburg County Prosecutor told The Daily Beast, as well as his car parked nearby, according to WYFF.

Authorities are exploring the possibility that Kohlhepp might in fact be a serial killer, after Brown told police that there are four more bodies buried on his property. "I don’t know if that’s true or not, but we will stay here as long as it takes to make sure that what she said is true or not true," Wright told WYFF.

Authorities were led to the property by an anonymous tip, at which point they heard Brown banging on the metal storage container, which is just 30 feet long, 15 wide and 10 to 12 feet high. According to Wright, Brown was kept there for two months, and though she was fed regularly, she was still very traumatized.

“It was pretty emotional, to say the least, when she was found — especially when she was chained like a dog," Wright added. "She had a chain around her neck. It’s only by God’s grace we found that little girl alive."

The missing persons case drew international attention after strange activity appeared on Carver's Facebook account, including a message saying he and Brown were "fine." Kohlepp also took to Facebook in early September, and addressed the disappearance of his friends.

"Reading the news.. this person missing, that person missing, another person missing.. oh wait.. that person just went to beach with friend, other person found with her parole violation boyfriend,” he wrote. “In the event I become missing, please note no one would take me… most likely if I am missing, its because my dumb ass did something on that tractor again and I am too stubborn to go to the doctor… I got 9 lives.. I ain't done yet.”

Kohlepp is currently being held without bail.
