Just because Veteran’s day has come and gone, it doesn’t mean you have to wait another year before paying tribute to the men and women who have served our country. That’s the basic idea behind an impressive new initiative from 2 Chainz, who will donate proceeds from his CEO Millionaires clothing line’s latest collection to veterans who have fallen on hard times.

The Atlanta rapper made the announcement on Instagram Friday, with a wrenching video featuring sobering images of homeless veterans across the country. “We gotta use these platforms for good,” he wrote. “Money isn’t everything but I can take my opportunities and turn it into opportunities to change lives.”

One of the most contentious issues during the recent election was the treatment of the country's 21.3 million veterans, many of whom suffer from a litany of ailments, PTSD among them, that make adjusting back into civilian life a losing bet. And with the country still reeling from Trump’s shocking upset win, 2 Chainz’s gesture is just what the doctor ordered.

A message posted on the official CEO Millionaires Instagram account echoed the rappers words. “We are using our platform to make a change in a serious issue in America,” a caption of the same video read. “This new collection is to bring awareness to the elephant in the room. Why ever should someone who defended our country be homeless? For Veterans Day we dropped a new collection all military themed.”

We’ll salute to that.
