The 50 Best Villains in Movie History

47. General Zod

Played By: Terence Stamp
Movie: Superman II (1980)

Back in 1980, the freed Kryptonian ex-con Zod was one of the most intimidating super-villains. Imagine Superman's attributes—bulletproof, capable of super speed, flight, and heat vision, and possessing superhuman strength—and now give them to a nefarious criminal leader. That should explain why a dude who, in retrospect, looked like a Vegas magician was capable of bringing the President of the United States to his knees. —Tara Aquino
