LA Knight

LA Knight, born Shaun Ricker in Hagerstown, Maryland, first signed with WWE in 2013 under the ring name Slate Randall. After being released in 2014, he competed on the independent circuit and in TNA/Impact Wrestling as Eli Drake. He re-signed with WWE in 2021, adopting the ring name LA Knight. He first gained major attention on WWE’s NXT brand, notably competing in the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament and headlining events like NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. His transition to WWE’s main roster in 2022 included high-profile matches on SmackDown, where he quickly became known for his charismatic promos and in-ring storytelling. Knight’s mic work is highlighted by catchphrases such as "Yeah!" and "The Best That Ever Did It," which have become viral moments across WWE programming and social media platforms. His promo style has influenced WWE’s emphasis on character-driven narratives, with his performances at events like WWE SummerSlam 2023 further cementing his role as a key figure in the company’s evolving entertainment approach.
