Canary Yellow, the digital archive and retail space founded by the late Virgil Abloh, has been enlisted for the creation of a limited edition speaker with premium audio brand Syng.

Starting Friday at 10 a.m. ET, 24 limited edition versions of Syng’s Cell Alpha—billed as the world’s first triphonic speaker—will be made available for purchase via the official Canary Yellow site. Each of the 24 speakers are emblazoned with “FOR LISTENING” on the stand.

The speaker stands as Syng’s flagship device and boasts the ability to facilitate a truly immersive experience thanks to its unique harnessing of the power of state-of-the-art spatial audio. In short, Syng aims to raise the smart speaker space to new heights with the larger Cell Alpha rollout, thanks in large part to its proprietary triphonic tech. Pricing for the speaker is set at $2,399, a figure that includes both the engraved speaker itself and a table stand.

Of additional note here is that the collaborative effort between Abloh and Syng first began as an initiative that saw Abloh and Syng co-founder Damon Way working together. Following Abloh’s death last November, the project was continued thanks to the team at Canary Yellow.

Get a closer look at the limited edition take on the Cell Alpha below. The Syng experience is further bolstered by the official Syng Space app, which allows for quick and easy control of one’s home audio, whether kicked back for a movie or in DJ mode.
