There may not be a more loyal sect of menswear than those who follow every single movement of Engineered Garments. Each season, the brand adds to their already cult-like following with a collection that contains all the details us zealots have come to love. And each season, that cult-like following grows. Once you love EG, there's no changing that fact. EG's F/W 15 collection, inspired by Daiki Suzuki's memories of 1980s NYC directional menswear, may be his most broad and expansive yet, even if the color palette is predominantly black, a shade EG rarely, if ever, uses. Heavy wools, cable knits, bouclé textures, jumpsuits, wide wale cords, a dose of fur, florals and wide up top, tapered down below pants are all here. The collection is a layering feast, which EG heavily leans anyway, but on a completely different level. With the black and white shoot, the fabrics and textures look like they dragged the sharpen bar all the way to the right for the 'gram, just to make sure you really see everything. Daiki sure as shit put on for the squad with this one. It's like he telepathically beamed the thoughts from our heads straight onto a dashboard at EG HQ. That works for us.
