Todd Snyder has officially unveiled his inaugural collection as the creative director for Woolrich. Debuted for the Fall/Winter 2024 season, the Black Label collection is made up of reimagined singnature pieces, which are given a outdoor feel and a premium touch.
Split into two different lines, the Heritage division reinterprets a number of styles from Woolrich’s 190-year history. Both technical and opulent in equal measure, the offering is spearheaded by a cashmere version of the Buffalo Check Shirt, complete with matching shorts and ties, and the Woolrich Arctic Parka—a style once worn by the leader of the first American scientific missions to the Antarctic, Admiral Richard E. Byrd. Other styles, meanwhile, arrive in the form of base layers, overshirts and cowl-neck knits.
Designed to meet the high technical standards of serious outdoorsmen, part two of the collection, dubbed Technical, marries high-performance materials with Snyder’s signature flair. Debuting two distinctive pieces, the Birch Parka is constructed with a shimmering drip-dyed nylon exterior and plush sherpa interior, while the Ripstop Parka in “Bright Olive” boasts a 750-down fill power rating, offering a lightweight yet warm puffer jacket. Rounding out the Technical offers are several Alpine Boots, functional yet luxurious with shearling interiors and suede or leather exteriors.
“The more I’ve worked on the Technical line, the more I’ve been excited about designing clothing that can handle the demands of the great outdoors and be the statement pieces in a city wardrobe,” Snyder explains.
The ‘Black Label’ collection will be available for purchase later this year at Woolrich stores globally and Todd Snyder stores in the U.S.
