After recently teaming up with Kahru and Flower Mountain, Nottingham-based menswear imprint Universal Works has unveiled its latest collaborative streak with Parisian-born label, K-Way.

Outfitted for the festival season, the resulting capsule combines playful utilitarian details and practical design to create the ultimate indispensable offering. Coming with K-Way’s instantly recognisable, tri-coloured logo and complimentary UW insignia, the collection features two jackets and a bag which have been crafted from a recycled lightweight and highly waterproof ripstop, in shades such as “French Navy”, “British Khaki” and “Sand”.

Arguably the standout piece is the collection’s packable Watergate Bay Jacket, which features heat-taped seams, a two-way zip adjustable hem, three outer pockets, and a rear vent. The cross-Channel project also includes K-Way’s classic bold zip, while a tab-and-snap detail on the chest appears alongside a lower pocket that can attach to tent pegs and bottle openers.

Speaking about the debut partnership, Universal Works’ co-founder, David Keyte, said: “It might be sunny with clear skies, but a sudden downpour is practically guaranteed, so it’s pieces like this that really make the whole festival experience that much more pleasant.”

You can cop the Universal Works x K-Way ‘Festival Kit’ now from the Universal Works webstore.
