Following its recent collaboration with Stüssy, Our Legacy WORK SHOP has called on the help of MAJO TECH—a leading fabric manufacture—and Satisfy for its first fully fledged running capsule.
Putting weightlessness at the forefront of its construction methodology, the capsule, dubbed Mind On The Run, features a selection of running shorts and jackets which have been made from windproof ripstop nylon and crisp flyweight shell fabrics sourced from MAJO TECH’s archives.
In addition, the Swedish stalwart has also released a range of new T-shirts created in partnership with long-time collaborative partner, Satisfy. Dressed in the brand’s signature logo, each tee uses proprietary and residual ‘AuraLite’ technical fabric, which brings together a silky texture with built-in technology that wicks away moisture and subsides smells.
Discussing the inspiration behind the capsule, Our Legacy co-founder and Our Legacy WORK SHOP Creative Director, Jockum Hallin, said: “Running makes the mind roam free, it liberates thinking, the same way that music does at times. “I wanted to do pieces in boxy Our Legacy silhouettes created with all types of running in mind, but versatile enough to wear for any training. We reached out to MAJO TECH and dug into their archives for the best Italian technical lightweight outerwear fabrics. Satisfy Running helped us out with functional tees and long sleeves for the collection in their amazing AuraLite fabrics. Both jackets, shorts and tights come with multiple stash pockets for all your bits. All pieces are made from upcycled residual fabrics, and come with hi-visibility WORK SHOP reflective print.”
The Our Legacy WORK SHOP “Mind On The Run” collection is slated to arrive at SSENSE and the OUR LEGACY webstore on August 1.
