Skepta’s clothing label, MAINS, has officially made its debut for the Spring/Summer 2024 season.

Previewing the line inside one of London’s most prestigious banking buildings, the elevated offering includes a selection of reprised and upgraded silhouettes, inspired directly by the capital. Leather colour-blocked leather co-ords and raw iterations of the brand’s Drill Suit serve as key pieces, along with a pair of dungarees and leather vest, which were donned on the runway by Skepta’s brother and grime icon, Jme.

Further styles feature in the form of clean-cut boucle bombers with a sparkling M motif and knits depicting illustrations of Dalston, Miami and New York. Sneakers and jackets also take centre stage, while rackets, big hats and socks ultimately finish off the line-up.

“We reiterate the DNA of MAINS whilst also stepping into the future,” Skepta said in the show notes. “Silhouettes and shapes may feel familiar from previous collections as this is not a reset or rebrand; this is the evolution of MAINS.” He added that the time he “spent in the studio with the team, conceiving these pieces and personally embellishing much of what you see today, has been both a beautiful and nourishing process. This collection, these fabrics, these techniques are a piece of me.”
