Based in South Korea and born during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, KAPPY DESIGN is an emerging label that is bringing a fresh, minimalistic take on workwear.
The brainchild of brand owner Kanga, for Spring/Summer 2024, the rising imprint takes a clean, no-nonsense approach, where lightweight materials serve as a key focus. Building on its selection of relaxed silhouettes and basic design styles, the collection is aimed at enjoying the outdoors anywhere. Highlights include loose denim bottoms, oversized tees, polos and slouchy button-downs. Earthy tones set the palette here, with hints of lilac and yellow providing striking contrasts throughout.
“We started at an unstable time,” says Kanga, “so there was a lot of trial and error, but we have been steadily developing the brand at our own pace. KAPPY DESIGN is a challenge and a new beginning that we embrace.
“Our goal is to become a comfortable brand where everyone can choose [pieces from] our collection without worrying about what to wear when they open their closets.”
