Parisian skate brand Hélas has teamed up with Champion for a new capsule collection, featuring a range of apparel items including T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and accessories.
To create the FW23 release, the duo have taken on a melange of cosy reverse weave styles with subtle Hélas branding. First introduced in 1938, reverse weave is a proven and reliable horizontal knitting technique that cuts heavy-duty cotton on the cross-grain to increase longevity and thwart shrinkage.
In addition to the collection’s debut, Hélas and Champion have also revealed a video campaign featuring iconic French basketball commentator George Eddy, along with a lookbook. The visual journey stars models Lucas Puig, Léo Cholet, Karl Salah and Thierry Gormit as they take centre stage at the Chatou playground, resulting in a mesmerising fusion of skateboarding and basketball.
