ECKHAUS LATTA has tapped Canadian outerwear experts Moose Knuckles for its first outerwear-focused capsule.
The collaboration reimagines famed Moose Knuckles staples through the eyes of ECKHAUS LATTA, with cutting-edge coats, jackets, shorts, and pants appearing throughout.
Standouts include bomber-style jackets which have been treated to EL’s signature funnel necks, detachable zip sleeves, and contrasting black-and-white fastening details, while lined hoodies are rounded out with quilted sleeves and a swing-bottom fit. Wide-legged pants have also been reworked with a high-waisted fit and zip-detail on the thighs and knees.
Down, which is traditionally used throughout Moose Knuckles’ outerwear, has been modified in a new hyper-light form, altering the technical process and incorporating a combined selection of hand-dyed feathers across classic EP shapes.
Ahead of the release, ECKHAUS LATTA said in a statement: “It’s always exciting for us to collaborate with a brand whose products are focused on a specific materiality and design vernacular. We’ve never made puffers, so the opportunity to explore this language with Moose Knuckles was really appealing—they are very open to experimentation. For this collaboration, we wanted to create storytelling that read capital ‘F’ fashion, but in a subtly perverse and confusing way.”
Joseph McGee, Moose Knuckles’ Vice President of Women’s Design, added: “The collaboration with ECKHAUS LATTA has been an artistic and technical exploration where, together, we reimagined our classic Moose Knuckles outerwear in new and inspiring ways, using techniques not seen in our collections before.”
