Birmingham-based imprint Bene Culture has just unleashed the first installment of its Spring/Summer 2022 collection, featuring a youthful assortment of casualwear pieces and accessories.
Founded in 2015 by brothers Hemal and Vimal Chauhan and their childhood friend Hasim Jhina, Bene Culture was launched after the trio noticed an underrepresentation of British Asian designers within the creative fields. The trio first started their “community-based business” as a small vintage shop, which now houses brands such as Pleasures, Greater Goods, Thisneverthat and more.
Since its inception, Bene Culture has been a staple in Birmingham’s streetwear community, offering a platform for its culture and creatives through its collections and live events. Multi-genred and multi-faceted, the brand also sources and produces its products from local suppliers.
Enlisting designer Charlie Soffe and photographer Joshua Sneade, the collection itself combines a plethora of loud graphics and brand iconography printed across soft-toned silhouettes. Standouts include oversized graphic tees and a blue pinstripe vest which have been dressed with Bene Culture’s new “DOG5” Chihuahua graphic. Globe icons are printed across heavy cotton sweatpants and a beanie, while pill-shaped logos can be seen across contrast-stitched work pants and beige tees.
Finally, the collection is rounded out with a green “Metro Jumper” and a black hoodie featuring CCTV footage from the London Underground.
The first installment of Bene Culture’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection is available to cop now on the brand’s website – check out the shots below.
