Imtayaz Qassim showcased the next stage of his namesake brands narrative at LFWM, with the AW19 collection ‘A Recurring Silence’.
The collections name is borrowed from a chapter of Omar Shaif Ghobash's book ‘Letters To A Young Muslim’, the chapter in question focuses on the silence that follows a difficult question. As is commonplace with the designer's works, carefully selected references, world, and personal history informs and guides the creative process.
AW19 welcomes a selection of new silhouettes, with apparel lines and fabrications following the routes and reference of the old Silk Road. By following this route the collection highlights a journey from east to west, with Down outerwear hailing from China, artisan crafted knitwear from Istanbul, and global sourcing completed in the UK.
