God Fearing, Honest English Cobbling

None

Mid-level British shoemaker Grenson is now in cahoots with Tokyo based Foot The Coacher (not even remotely the craziest Japanese designer name we’ve heard of), with the two dropping their new collection over at MR PORTER earlier this week. Available in pebbled sport and captoe balmoral styles, this range of boots has all the trimmings associated with God fearing honest English cobbling. Goodyear stitching, hand burnishing and a closed channel welt are all regular fixtures on these and they’ll pull their weight with traditionalists who are still into that whole Anglo-Italian menswear thing. There are even small variations between each individual style, with something for the Thom Browne crowd (pull tabs), Crockett & Jones devotees (pebbled grain leather) and Fred Astaire enthusiasts (black and white spectator boots).
