Baltimore-based Gaia skipped up 95 recently to collaborate with Goldman Properties and the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. The resulting mural (first image) is a tribute to Edmund Bacon, the city planner known as "The Father of Modern Philadelphia." Murals by Kenny Scharf and How&Nosm are nearby. Gaia, as always, is in good company.
On home turf, Gaia has also recently painted a tribute to a dying local tradition—Arabbers, a group of horse-drawn fruit vendors.
