Africa is a diverse continent, and saying that someone is "African" may not always equate them with being black. However, popular Tumblr Foudre has found that Numéro magazine has taken Ondria Harden, a 16-year-old white model, and put her in blackface (or a heavy bronzer) to shoot her for their editorial titled "African Queen." Really?! Come on. As Foudre sarcastically writes, "Because why hire a black model when you can just paint a white one!" We're just as confused because we're sure there are black models who would have chomped at the bit to be involved in a high-fashion editorial. What are your thoughts?
