Biggest Celeb Jewelry Purchases March 2023

Man, imagine having enough zeros in your bank account to cop a bust down G-Shock that used to be owned by Pharrell. While most of us are saving our hard-earned money to buy a car or a home, it’s always nice to dream about what ridiculous things we could potentially buy if we were an A-list celebrity.

March was certainly a big month for celebrity jewelry pickups. Offset took some notes from Ye and pulled up to an Oscars party with a face mask filled with stones. Tyga has recently been courting Avril Lavigne, who was seen wearing a personalized piece of jewelry gifted to her by the rapper last month. LeBron James picked up a new piece to celebrate a huge career milestone, Kim Kardashian was one of many celebrities who cut a check to Joopiter, and Ice Spice picked up another chain to commemorate her record deal.

Take a closer look at some of the biggest celebrity jewelry purchases from March below.

Jeweler: Eric Mavani

Nope, this isn’t a fever dream generated by some AI-image software. Avril Lavigne and Tyga have supposedly been dating. And Tyga’s latest display of affection certainly cements how real this is if the two of them being photographed kissing during Paris Fashion Week wasn’t enough. The Canadian singer was recently photographed in Los Angeles with Tyga wearing a chunky diamond chain that’s allegedly worth $80,000. The custom chain boasts 50-carats of pink sapphires along with white and black diamonds. The choker-style piece spells out the singer’s name, “A” letters are set inside pink hearts, there’s skull and crossbones with pink bows, and a clasp that reads “MFP.” The letters stand for “motherfucking princess,” a reference to Lavigne’s 2007 track “Girlfriend.”

Jeweler: Elliot Eliantte

In February, LeBron James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to break the NBA’s all-time scoring record. So in March, the Los Angeles Lakers celebrated King James’ crowning achievement by hooking him up with a pendant designed by Elliot Eliantte. The diamond-encrusted pendant was crafted out of solid gold and featured the jeweler’s signature infinity link chain, which was fastened with an NBA logo set in diamonds. The pendant also references various moments throughout James’ illustrious career. The center of the pendant features a roaring lion crowned with James’ iconic “LJ” logo. Both numbers he’s thrown on, 23 and 6, are represented as well. The back of the pendant also includes the logos of all three teams James has played for along with a list of his stats. The piece even came in its own special box, which read “All-Time Leading Scorer” on the top and “The Kid From Akron” inside the lead. It’s truly a worthy trophy piece in James’ growing jewelry collection.

Jeweler: Jacob & Co.

Kim Kardashian has previously been seen wearing watches by Audemars Piguet, Cartier, and Rolex. So, a G-Shock may seem a bit surprising to see on her wrist. But if she was going to buy any G-Shock, it was going to be the one Pharrell auctioned off on Joopiter for $73,750. Kim was snapped wearing the watch while filming a Carpool Karaoke segment with the late night television star James Corden. The watch Pharrell iced out was specifically a Casio G-Shock × Bape DW-6900. The digital watch was embellished by Jacob & Co. with a flooded bezel and case. The back of the timepiece is also frosted with a diamond studded caricature of Pharrell that’s pulled from the In My Mind album cover artwork. While paying five figures for a G-Shock is absolutely insane, one can make a solid argument for this one, which is truly a piece of history that captures P’s early friendship with NIGO.

Jeweler: Angel City Jewelers

In November, Ice Spice was signed to 10K Projects, the same record label that scaled the careers of other popular hip-hop artists such as Trippie Redd. Like any rapper signed to a label, a pendant repping the home team is never out of question. Recently, it looks like the Los Angeles-based record label tapped Angel City Jewelers to finally get Ice Spice in some of its own ice. As shown in a video shared by the jeweler, Ice Spice rocked the chain while listening to Nicki Minaj. She paired it with a Heaven by Marc Jacobs “Star Girl Dress.” She also recently appeared in a Heaven for Marc Jacobs campaign to promote the release of their Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
