Rob Cristofaro, the founder of the pioneering New York City streetwear brand Alife, has been well known for breaking artists such as Kunle Martins, Jim Joe, Dash Snow, Todd James, and many more over the years. His latest venture, RAB Arts, is a catalyst for cultural production that is particularly focused on downtown New York. Bark at The Moon is a new photography book that is also RAB Arts first major release. The book is filled with photographs by Blake Kunin, a New York photographer who gives intimate access into the underworld of graffiti vandalism. Action shots of writers such as ADEK, BK, CH, EASY, GOOG, GUSE, HOUND, LEWY, MALVO, MERCH, MQ, and more are prominently featured throughout the 285-page book. “Blake Kunin’s photos scare the living daylights out of me. My love of chaos and anarchy on the streets has been ongoing for decades,” said the revered artist Barry McGee aka Twist, in a press release. “These photographs let me study, in comfort, the bold lines & gestures that still resonate with me to this very day with more urgency than ever.” While street graffiti fans will surely enjoy this book, it will give outsiders a in depth look into graffiti’s secretive culture. All pre-orders will ship in April of 2022 and the first 300 orders will come with a signed 9” x 12” risograph print.
