Now that temperatures are starting to heat up, and many states across the United States are starting to reopen, it’s time to put together the freshest fits you can. Sadly, a lot of our favorite summer pieces have been collecting dust this past year. So there is ample time to refresh your closet with some of these great new drops this week.
The beloved outdoor brand Arc’Teryx has just unveiled its ReBird project, a new sustainable platform that will celebrate upcycled goods and products made from repurposed fabrics. Reese Cooper has just released a new DIY Chore Coat kit for anyone interested in picking up some cut and sew skills this summer. Brands like Stray Rats and Palace have dropped new T-shirts with some eyecatching graphics as well. Arc’teryx ReBird

Arc’teryx has just unveiled ReBird, a new platform that will let the public explore the brand’s ongoing initiatives in circularity, upcycling, resale, and care/repair. ReBird is Arc’teryx’s first customer-facing platform within the sustainability and circularity space since launching its Used Gear Program in 2019. To compliment ReBird’s debut, the brand will unveil its first-ever upcycled products made from post-consumer materials. Upcycled Totes made of used Arc’teryx Gore-Tex jackets that are no longer wearable are upcycled into a limited run of tote bags with reinforced straps and other features. Upcycled Pouches also made out of used Arc’teryx Gore-Tex jackets will also be available. Lastly, the Stowe Windshell, a lightweight and packable performance hoodie which was constructed from the ends-of-rolls left after making the Arc’Teryx “Squamish Hoody,” will also be available. More ReBird products will drop in the future and the program will help fulfill the brand’s targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% by 2030.
Reese Cooper DIY Chore Coat Kit

Once again, the production team at Reese Cooper has put together some leftover deadstock fabrics to craft together some new versions of the RCI DIY Chore Coat. For less than $100, Reese Cooper fans can try to sew their own chore coat in a cotton twill Dark Green colorway. Kits include fabric, instructions, a pattern, a graphing ruler, snap buttons, and RCI patches.
Stray Rats Spring/Summer 2021

The Miami-based streetwear label Stray Rats is back this season with a ripe new collection. T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats are highlighted in the brand’s first release from its Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Standout graphic T-shirts include references to video games like Phantasy Star Online and logo flips of ‘90s rock bands like Hum.

The third drop from Palace’s Summer 2021 collection will be available this Friday. The Scandinavian mountaineering equipment brand Klättermusen recently collaborated with Slam Jam to present an editorial highlighting pieces from its Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Klättermusen’s latest collection includes water and windproof fabric innovations that are perfect for both rainy city walks and long treks in the woods. Some of the key pieces from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 range include the “Asynja” jacket and pants, and a lightweight and waterproof set of gear that’s constructed out of 3L 100% recycled polyamide Cutan fabric. Other standout releases include the “Fjörm” backpack, which is a waterproof pack constructed with taped seams and recycled materials. Other products, like the “Ansur” shorts and hat are constructed out of windproof and water-resistant Katla Cotton.

Adidas Skateboarding Puig PK Primeblue

Adidas Skateboarding has collaborated with pro skater Lucas Puig to craft the Puig PK Primeblue. It’s the first sustainable silhouette from Adidas Skateboarding. The upper was made in part with Parley ocean plastic and the design was inspired by the skater’s time spent in his hometown on the coast of Biarritz, France. A more sustainable take on Puig’s Pro model shoe, the Puig PK Primeblue is a lightweight shoe meant to be worn while chilling rather than skating. A high grade EVA midsole provides optimal comfort and cushioning while a molded Adiprene sockliner provides a glove-like fit.
YG’s The Flame “Block Runner”

YG’s The Flame footwear line is releasing a Red/White iteration of its “Block Runner” sneaker. The Block Runner first arrived in March with an inverted colorway pattern, which sold out online within minutes of its release. This drop marks the second delivery of multiple Block Runners scheduled to release throughout 2021 under YG’s latest business venture. The low-top sneakers sit on a custom sole and feature red leather with a contrasting white-colored “The Flame” logo stretched across the quarter panel.

Who Cares and Collect & Select are releasing their “WHAT THE PT II ‘’ swingman shorts. The first version of the shorts was worn by Ben Baller at ComplexCon in 2019. To celebrate Fila’s 110th anniversary, the brand has unveiled a capsule collection developed with the Italian clothing label MSGM. The brand has been celebrating its milestone anniversary through collaborations with iconic Italian brands such as Acqua Di Parma. The tennis-infused capsule collection features halter neck tops, mini skirts, shorts, polo shirts, and t-shirts in MSGM’s signature tie-dye prints and marble motifs. Lace and ruffles add romantic accents to pieces throughout the collection and “YOU ARE MY MATCH POINT” is printed or embroidered on a range of apparel.
Snipes x Stash x Mitchell & Ness

Snipes has teamed up with Brooklyn-based graffiti artist and graphic designer Stash. Beginning May 21, the Barclays Center Snipes store in Brooklyn will host a five-day pop-up with exclusive caps from Mitchell & Ness that can be customized with limited-edition patches designed by Stash. The patch customization is free with any participating purchase. The Barclays Center store will also be exhibiting Stash artwork and a custom mural for the duration of the pop-up. It will run from Friday, May 21 through Tuesday, May 25.

The LA-based flag artist Ray An Rose will drop his first collection, “BANDED®®,” this Saturday. By combining the Korean flag and paisley flags seen throughout Los Angeles, the collection seeks to reexamine the ties of blood and culture in an unfamiliar land. The 40” X 34” flag itself is constructed out of 43 distinct pieces and is a visage of the artist’s interpretation of the Korean American experience. In addition to the limited-edition print of the “BANDED®®” flag, the collection will include a RROSE embroidered dad hat and snapback with the “BANDED®®” flag on the hat’s side panel.
