Artists in New York have a rare opportunity to put their stamp on The Big Apple. Recently ArtHERE.org released a project proposal from the Lower East Side Business Improvement District (LES BID). The LES BID is looking for a creative way to incorporate art into a pair of fences at the mouth of the Williamsburg Bridge. Proposals should feature ideas that pay homage to creative institutions located in the historic area. The proposal chosen to make the public artwork will get a $5,000 stipend to complete the project. The deadline is May 1. See all the details here.
