10. Joey Bada$$

Besides sharing dollar signs with the A$AP Mob, Joey Bada$$ was another force that had people claiming NYC hip-hop was back on top. His personal style also made a strong argument that a more mature and subtle version streetwear has claimed the throne. The Brooklyn-born 17 year old dropped his 1999 mixtape this past summer and converted many true hip-hop heads to believe in his very bright future. Well we're here to tell you that this young'n is gonna become one of rap's most stylish stars very soon.

9. Action Bronson

This Flushing native is the very large embodiment of cozy boy style, a way of living that we definitely co-sign. Whether he was cheffing up a seven course meal, dropping freestyles overseas, or literally committing murder over old school beats, 2012 was the year it was hard to not see Action Bronson rising to the top of music and style. His dope snapbacks, beefy streetwear, and enormous beard were all indicators that this dude gives no fucks and is primed to (continue to) be one of the most stylish hefty dudes this year and next.

8. Paul Rudd

For years now, Paul Rudd has played the lovable schlub who can't seem to ever get it together. Well the joke's on you, cause the comedic actor has very quietly become a guy who has style you should be taking notes on. There's nothing wild or crazy going on here, which is how his style stays so deceptively good. Just cause a guy makes us laugh doesn't mean his clothes have to be humorous. Take note, Russell Brand.

7. Kendrick Lamar

When you drop the No. 1 album of the year, people are damn well going to pay attention to the persona behind the music. Kendrick Lamar not only came out swinging with his major label debut album, but he looked awesome doing it. In fact, the pride of Compton was consistently rocking some of the year's best trends and best collaborations, proving that he's as savvy about style as he is about music. When you instantly place yourself in the upper echelons of hip-hop's canon, you better come correct in your steez as well.

6. Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield first grabbed our attention in The Social Network, but became a certified A-list celeb when he played Peter Parker in this past summer's The Amazing Spider-Man. When you're dating one of Vogue's Best Dressed Women of 2012, your style better come correct, and the British actor did just that. If he continues to don suits of bold colors and daring patterns and also perfect the art of the baseball jacket, the young star will definitely be in the hunt for next year's best-dressed celebrities.

5. A$AP Bari

As the co-founder of one of the best dressed crews in hip-hop history, A$AP Bari has been steadily raising the point where hip-hop and style converge. As the A$AP Mob came into the national spotlight in 2012, Bari's style wasn't just inspiring his fellow New Yorkers; dudes across the country were studying his steez and learning how to execute the unique look. With his brand Toast To The God set to go off next year and the A$AP empire planting its flag with Long.Live.A$AP dropping in January, we're pretty sure A$AP Bari is about to join fellow crew member Rocky in "best-dressed celebrities" territory.

4. Usher

Usher definitely wins the prize for "Most Improved Style in 2012." Despite his excellent musical catalog, we could never forgive the way he dressed. But that was back then, and the R&B superstar took a style page from the likes of Kanye in 2012. Now the singer is mixing in designer pieces and also keeping it timeless with awesome classic clothing like crisp suiting and varsity jackets. We just hope the pupil doesn't become the master and Usher begins following Justin Bieber's drop-crotch agenda.

3. Shaun White

Before this year, all we knew about Shaun White's style was that he rocked typical snowboarder gear and had a giant mane of red hair. Maybe it was his recent connection to supermodel Bar Rafaeli, but The Flying Tomato pulled off his most impressive stunt by doing a 180 in style and becoming one of the sharpest looking athletes on the red carpet. Mr. Porter even tapped the sport's most popular star to model for an editorial this past year, and it looks like Shaun will be sporting his dressed-up rockstar look without his famous locks next year. Is he now The Flying Cherry Tomato?

2. 2 Chainz

Changing his whole persona from Tity Boy to 2 Chainz was the smartest move the rapper ever made. The College Park native had the most prolific year of any musician in 2012, and with his explosion onto the scene meant realizing how stylish the dude was. 2 Chainz went waayyy beyond just rocking European designer brand names, and made the high-end look his own with amazing sunglasses, unique pieces no one else could pull off, and crazy jewelry (of course). If he swears off his allegiance to True Religion then 2 Chainz is set to be near the top of 2013's best dressed celebrities list.

1. Danny Brown

The Detroit native was once ridiculed for his tight-fitting jeans and swept-over hair. But Danny Brown stuck with what's his and now the rapper is stuntin' in lookbooks all over the place and chillin' with Mark McNairy, who was Complex's Man of Next Year in Style. He even closed the designer's premiere runway show at New York Fashion Week in a one-of-one gold lamé suit and 10 gallon cowboy hat. The Fool's Gold member went from rocking full Jeremy Scott and acid wash to Givenchy, Balenciaga, and of course McNairy, all with the same signature missing tooth and wild man's hair. With his album ODB coming to near completion, we can't wait to see how Danny steps it up in 2013 and evolves his always unique style.
