Because we're too weird, obsessive, and nerdy for these to ever make sense.

Let's not get it twisted. We as guys are brutish lumps who pale in comparison to women in most categories of existence. If you reflect on past experiences, it's not too hard to realize that women are more intelligent, more clever, and have a better general grasp on life and living than we do. And that's why we love 'em.

We're simplistic creatures that are pretty easy to figure out. But when it comes to style, we sometimes hold on to truths and beliefs that, from a girl's point of view, make absolutely no sense. Whether we can explain these phenomena or admit that yeah, it's kinda weird, these are 10 Things Girls Will Never Understand About Guys' Style.

10. You only need one awesome item to make a cool outfit

Guys can throw on whatever and whatever else, and then hit 'em with the bang bang item that stands out and instantly turns you into a street style magnet. We don't have to put together a whole look to come off as stylish; instead we can just have on a dope pair of kicks, a crazy sweater, or these insane pants that pop off and turn muted and bland clothes into an awesome outfit.

9. Nostalgia is a huge factor in why we love our clothes

Any clothes we own from our earlier years immediately transport us back to those simpler times, when the playground seemed boundless and girls were never a problem. Sure they may not fit perfectly, and nostalgia may be kinda corny, but there'll always be room in the back of these closet for these treasured items.

8. Sometimes no style is the best style

Sorry ladies, but we just don't think it's gross to roll out of bed and throw on the jeans and T-shirt that we were already wearing yesterday and spent all night on the floor. Comfort is king, and even if you think it's gross, you can't deny James Dean's effortless cool. We'll just put on extra deodorant that day. And you know, shower.

7. Sales are for copping something you want at a discount, not for maxing out credit cards

Sales don't exist for the sake of discount copping. You won't find a dude leaving the Barney's Warehouse sale with three garbage bags of jawns, or spending racks on literal racks of discounted merchandise. Sales are a chance to purchase whatever piece we've had our eye on and already knew we were going to buy as soon as its price was slashed. It's all part of the calculated strategy that goes into being a cold-blooded fashion killa.

6. "What the fuck is the deal with Supreme?"

Sometimes, we can't really explain it either. But Supreme has a pull over us that, no matter what, keeps us coming back for more. And it's not just Supreme; a lot of dudes are loyal to certain brands to the point that it's akin to being a sports fan. We want to know the latest news, we cop everything they put out, and there's a connection we have to the brand. Call it pathetic, weird, or stupid, but it's not going to change anytime soon.

5. Yes, we're going to buy a very expensive, simple item that's going to last 100 years.

It may be the call of fatherhood, but sometimes when we're considering purchasing a very expensive and well-made item, we're imagining the moment we pass it down to our son. These so-called "investment" pieces can vary greatly—whether a denim jacket, an impeccable blazer, or, in Bruce Willis' case in Pulp Fiction, a watch that his father hid in his ass for nearly a decade, we sometimes consider the next few generations when copping. We also factor in "cost-per-wear," if we're dropping serious dough on something we really love and can't wait to throw on—then it's definitely worth the price in our eyes.

4. We don't buy clothes just because they're on-trend

If you're not familiar with the term hypebeast, please study up and realize that that's one of the worst things you could call a dude who cares about style. And as stylish dudes, our mission is not to follow trends but to stunt with simultaneous consistency and uniqueness. Thus, we're not gonna jump on trends that everyone else dickrides with no hesitation. And, circling back, we call those dudes hypebeasts. Calling us one may be a dealbreaker, FYI.

3. Sometimes we want to wear sweatpants out for many reasons

We promise we won't wear sweatpants when we meet your parents (mostly out of fear of MILF-boners), but even if we're headed some place fancy we may show up as the coziest boy in the cut. It's our way of saying IDGAF, and also as the most comfortable dude in the room, we'll be at our best. It's hard to make charming conversation when your scrotum's being crushed by tailored trousers.

2. Sometimes we want to wear a suit out for no reason

As corny as it may sound, sometimes a guy just wants to dress up like the bawse he may or may not be. Even if we're headed to a dive bar, or staying up late at home to finish an assignment for work, throwing on the most official look in our wardrobe gives us that psychological edge to dominate whatever's thrown our way.

1. Holes, tears, and stains don't mean it's ruined; it's character

It may look a piece of clothing a bum might politely decline from a free box, but we all love our clothes that visually showcase the amazing trials and tribulations they've endured with us. See that tear? Ripped it on a fence running from the cops. And that stain is from a summer painting job back in 2003. And this hole is from a drunken night out when we drunkenly went home with a 10 but woke up next to a 4 in the cold, harsh light of day. Okay so maybe not all the memories are good ones.
