Soulland's F/W 14 collection is based on designer Silas Adler's fascination with the final frontier, except Adler's view of outer space is not as dark, distant or straight up fucking scary as, say, Alfonso Cuaron's. In Silas's eyes, outer space is something you dreamed about as a kid and for those of us who grew up with the Internet, something that seemed closer than it ever did to previous generations. This accessible, but light-hearted attitude translates in the form of colorful 1990's color schemes and straight forward graphics ("SPACE" the most common amongst them). There's a bunch of other understated pieces and sneakers in the mix, which, by straying away some from the inspiration, help keep the collection grounded here on Planet Earth.
