Intro
We feel pretty comfortable declaring HBO the best network of all time. For decades, the folks at Home Box Office have been dedicated to shaking up the televison experience with ground-breaking and often instant-classic series, year in and year out. With a slate of shows that covers just about every genre, and every setting imaginable, some very fly characters have graced the small screen during the HBO legacy, the most recent being Dustin Hoffman's fresh ex-con on the horse-racing themed Luck. From hitmen to potheads on both coasts, these are the 15 most stylish men to ever appear on HBO.

15. Brother Mouzone
15. Brother Mouzone (Michael Potts); The Wire
The New York enforcer that came down to Baltimore to whip the Barksdale's enemies into shape instantly stood out with his polite manners, sharp suits, and fearless outsider swag. Name another time you saw a homie on the corner rocking a bow-tie. Just don't mistake him for soft or it'll be the last one you make.
14. George
14. George Christopher (Ted Danson); Bored to Death
Danson also appears on HBO as himself and frequent antagonist to Larry David on the essential Curb Your Enthusiasm, but we had to go with his character George on the late Bored to Death for this list. As a magazine editor and New York City socialite, George is never not in a crisp suit. Of course three figure suits never stop him from engaging in Jonathan's weird case of the week and all the assorted quirky misadventures that come with it.
13. Eric
13. Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgaard); True Blood
If you're caught up in a torrential love triangle, you better have the upper hand in a few categories and style is one of them. Bill Compton is, style-wise at least, simply no match for his senior Eric's wardrobe. Sookie's been under pressure ever since she first laid eyes on the Norse vampire in his club - but would her opinion change if she knew Pam did his hair?
12. Turtle
12. Turtle (Jerry Ferrara); Entourage
Critics might not admit it, but Turtle swagged hard on Entourage for eight straight summers. From his early streetwear look to a more preppy style once he enrolled in college, to a fresh fusion of the two in the later seasons, it was always clear what Turtle spent his BFF checks on (besides weed). Highlights include getting specially-made custom Forces made for him by a Nigo-esque designer in season three, and rolling to Hugh Hefner's pajama party in designer footies. It's no wonder his arm candy during the series included the likes of Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Dania Ramirez.
11. Jimmy
11. Jimmy (Michael Pitt); Boardwalk Empire
Despite being born with a metric ton of mommy and daddy issues, the tortured, doomed Boardwalk fan-favorite took a page out of father figure Nucky's book and stayed fresh during his gangster day-to-day grind. He dressed the part well, but when it came time to actual be the boss of Atlantic City, he was less successful. A lot less successful. Fatally unsuccessful. Did we mention he wore nice three-piece suits?
10. Pootie Tang
10. Pootie Tang (Lance Crouther); The Chris Rock Show
Do we really need to explain why this guy easily cracks the top ten? He's a nightclub performer, he has more ladies than you, and if you step to him, he'll put you down...with his belt. Not to mention Louis C.K. wrote and directed the so-bad-it's-good film based on Pootie's appearances in Chris's sketches. The ultimate pimp.
9. Luck
9. Ace Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman); Luck
We could point out how impressed we are that Chester "Ace" Bernstein keeps his suits so on point despite being fresh out of the pen on a three year bid. But the most impressive thing is how buttoned-up he and his right hand man Gus stay given their setting. Have you seen the way the rest of the Santa Anita degenerates patrons carry themselves? It is a horse track after all, and not a very popular one these days. The fact that Gus and Bernstein (law firm or band name?) are never seen without a dope suit jacket is pure commitment to looking good. Great way to break into the HBO scene, Dustin.
8. Drama
8. Drama (Kevin Dillon); Entourage
Say what you will about Drama; he can't act and he's a co-dependent of his younger brother. Despite all of that, the man has style. To take it a step further, he's probably one of the most daring dressers to ever grace the Home Box Office. We wouldn't always go with some of his choices (the man loves his skin-tight Ed Hardy and Affliction tees) but more often than not, Drama put together some unpredictably fly wardrobe choices over the years. Victory, indeed.
7. Wild Bill
7. Wild Bill Hickok (Keith Carradine); Deadwood
Easily the coolest dude in all of the Old West. Of course, the historically genuine gunslinger was a renowned lawman and gunfighter, but really, when have you ever in all of American history seen a sheriff dress this fly? With opinion adjusted for the times, Wild BIll was also easily the flyest dude in all of the Old West.
6. Jaime
6. Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau); Game of Thrones
In addition to having the biggest bank in Westeros, the Lannisters also have the most swag. The eldest Lannister son, Jaime, may be a man of ill repute—he's got a secret love thing with his twin sister and isn't above attempted murder of children to cover it up—but he sure looks good while doing it. For his part in overthrowing the mad king, Jaime is probably the most famous knight in all of the lands and has the shiny armor to show for it. Now if only it didn't metaphorically have the blood of a couple kings he swore to protect splattered all over it.
5. Big
5. Mr. Big (Chris Noth); Sex and the City
In addition to having an appropriate wardrobe for someone so impossibly rich (definitely a 1 percenter), Big is the ultimate man of mystery. Of course we now know that he eventually put a ring on Carrie, but before that, he had quite the operation going. Basically he would hit her up, roll up in his limo, smash and hang around, before fading back into the background. It worked nearly every time until he decided to stop dicking around and lock Carrie up, but it was more or less on his terms. Boss. Plus, once the women start referring to you as "Big," you know you've made it.
4. Silvio
4. Silvio Dante (Steven Van Zandt); The Sopranos
The man who keeps the lowest profile in the Soprano crime family is also, naturally, the most stylish in the crew. Whether running the Bing or getting his hands dirty when the snitch(es) are discovered, Mr. Dante is always dressed to the nines.
3. Ari
3. Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven); Entourage
The most powerful agent in town simply must have the freshest wardrobe. As we saw Ari skillfully climb to that coveted position over the course of the series, we also saw his two-pieces get flyer and flyer as his star (and his own net worth) rose.
2. Domingo
2. Domingo (Kid Cudi); How to Make It in America
As a weed-dealing dog-walker in his mid 20's, Domingo leads the ultimate slacker lifestyle. He doesn't do anything remotely worthwhile with his days and yet makes obscene amounts of money, all while hanging with friends and romancing various bad women, most notably hottie pot customer Rachel (Lake Bell). In between his dual enterprises, dude manages to rock one wildly different, yet successful outfit per scene. And he's not even involved in the show's central fashion line.
Despite the recent, unfortunate canceling of How to Make It, as it stands in the HBO legacy, Dom has managed to emerge as one of HBO's most stylish characters in only sixteen episodes. Is he fly because he has nothing better to spend his money on, or does the fact that he's played by one of the most stylish rappers out have something to do with it?
1. Nucky
1. Nucky (Steve Buscemi); Boardwalk Empire
To the 2012 eye, Nucky Thompson's suits are garish and unsightly. But Complex 1921 surely would have hailed him as an innovator of his time at the most, and King of the Style Risk at the very least. You know Magritte's Son of Man painting? Everyone else on the series is pretty much playing by those rules, and just like every other facet of his life, Nucky is effortlessly breaking those rules daily. It surely doesn't hurt that last season he (*spoiler alert*) thinned the competition as well.
