Kim Kardashian showed out last night at the 2016 MTV VMAs with another massive diamond. According to People, Kardashian stepped onto the VMAs red carpet Sunday night sporting a shiny new accessory on her ring finger, courtesy of her husband.
At first glance the bling looks similar to the 15-carat cushion-cut ring that West purchased for their engagement in 2013. Both rings were designed by Lorraine Schwartz, but this one is slightly different with an emerald cut and a thinner diamond-studded pavé band. Kardashian hasn't shared any details about the new ring, but it appears to be even bigger than the original diamond.
Celeb jeweler Shari Fabrikant of Robert Fabrikant Inc. in New York told Hollywood Life that she estimates the stone is around 20 carats. "It is an elegant and beautiful ring. If the stone is a GVS2, the ring would run well over $1,500,000," said Fabrikant, which could mean it also had a heftier price tag than the engagement ring.
Kardashian wasn't the only celebrity decked out in millions worth of jewels at the VMAs. Beyoncé was also wearing some very expensive Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. The singer was dripping in an estimated $13.1 million worth of diamonds on the red carpet.
