Y-3 keeps getting better.

On Friday, the high-end sportswear label launched its Spring/Summer 2019 campaign shot by esteemed fashion photographer Angelo Pennetta. The images showcase key pieces from the latest collection, which fuse Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas' respective fortes and aesthetics. You have functional sportswear designs—presented in an all-black color scheme and the iconic three-stripe motif—elevated through bold silhouettes and unconventional fabric combinations.

The campaign also highlights this season's footwear range, which includes reworked iterations of the Kaiwa, Kasabaru, Runner 4D, and Adilette Slide.

"It’s a closer sense of my design; it’s nice," Yamamoto told Vogue about the collection.

Nic Galway, Adidas Originals' Senior VP of Global Design, praised the Japanese designer's skills. "Yohji’s way of cutting—we simply couldn’t do that by ourselves."

You can check out the Y-3 Spring/Summer 2019 campaign below. It was shot in a Los Angeles shipyard, and was styled by Haley Wollens.
