Big Sean has let us inside The Trilogy to see his closet before, but this time we are getting up close and personal with his treasured collection of vintage T-shirts, courtesy of Billboard.
The rapper began collecting the tees in 2012. The unique collection features a variety of black icons, including Janet Jackson, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Tiger Woods, and the actresses from 1995's Waiting to Exhale. "You might see other rappers rocking Wu-Tang shirts and Master P shirts all the time, but you'll never see them rocking a Waiting to Exhale tee," Big Sean explains to Billboard.
There are 30 to 40 T-shirts in Big Sean's collection, most of which he says are "very rare." He also defends the inclusion of Selena among what are mostly iconic black figures. "Selena's a legend," he says. "She did it big; she was the first. I'm going to rock her on the tee, just like I rock Tupac, just like I rock Biggie."
If vintage band T-shirts really are the next cool thing, Big Sean is well prepared for this trend.
