Big Sean is starting off 2015 right. It's only March, and he already has a chart-topping album, Dark Sky Paradise, a Complex cover story, and you know he got the hookup on Kanye West's soldout Yeezy Boosts. Now in an interview with The Coveteur, Sean shows off the Boosts and many other desirable pieces, and discusses his next collaboration with adidas, 'Ye and Pharrell's place as style icons, and his fashion essentials and splurges.
Big Sean hinted at another adidas collab just the other day, but he divulges more details about the upcoming collaboration here. "I just had a conversation with Adidas and we're working on something new," he told The Coveteur. "It’s still a brainstorming process. They have ideas and we have ideas and we come together, and it is what it is. It’s pretty cool and creative; they have great offices and a great staff and great people. They have a vision and they're also down to help your vision. Shout out to Jon Wexler, and all those people over there."
The rapper says he swayed Kanye to join him and the sportswear giant. "I came to him with Adidas way before he was even thinking about it. I was designing with them first and I was like, ‘Adidas is the shit’ and he was like, ‘yeah?’ and then eventually he came over." He also calls 'Ye and Pharrell "style icons."
When it comes to dressing, Sean has his essentials—"A certain type of boot, certain type of jeans, hoodies"—but he also admits he has splurged on "a watch or two."
