If you like jeans and hip hop, you’re in luck, because True Religion joined forces with Dreezy to create “The Diamond Collection.” The line marks the “Balance My Lows” rapper’s first foray into fashion design with a range of tops and bottoms that lean into True Religion’s denim legacy, showcasing her versatility and paying homage to her late best friends. “I’m beyond grateful True Religion trusted me to have a collection of my own,” Dreezy said. “I’m honored to dedicate this to [my friends] and see the whole world representing them.”

“The Diamond Collection” adds another dimension to the momentum of the Chicago MC’s recent success since she released her first independent album, the Hit-Boy-produced Hitgirl last year. Since then, she has been riding the album’s wave, spending the summer stacking performances at hip hop festivals and landing a feature on the late King Von’s posthumous album, What It Means to Be King. Hitgirl includes features from Future and Coi Leray, showcasing real diversity — she is comfortable (and formidable) on her city’s signature drill beats, while rapping through introspection and using a silky singing voice elsewhere on the album.

Like Dreezy’s flow, her True Religion capsule showcases a significant range, combining jewel accents and upcycled stacked denim with the brand’s signature stitching and horseshoes. “The Diamond Collection” includes graphic tanks to a stunning cropped denim jacket. And no True Religion collab would be complete without jeans. This line offers multiple styles, including using surplus denim from True’s archives to combine multiple washes for the Repurposed MR Stacked jeans. The collection also includes a statement thong with a charm of the brand’s horseshoe.

“The Diamond Collection” comes as True Religion shifts to increase the number of sizes it offers as part of its Go Figure initiative. Given the brand’s previous notable partnerships with musicians like 2 Chainz and Chief Keef, collaborating with Dreezy was the logical next step, according to True Religion CEO Michael Buckley.“I am thrilled about our first female hip hop collaboration with Dreezy and the opportunity to grow our community of female customers with a collection uniquely designed for women,” he said. This collection is a glimmering step in that direction. To see “The Diamond Collection” head to True Religion’s website.
