Brooklyn-based artist Chitra Ganesh will present a site-specific installation in the Herstory Gallery at the Brooklyn Museum's Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art titled "Chitra Ganesh: Eyes of Time." Taking inspiration from the museum's collection, Ganesh's installation will use mythology and other elements to portray "female power and plurality," themes that she has returned to several times over the past ten years.

Ganesh will create a mural that features the Hindu goddess Kali and figures from Judy’s Chicago’s The Dinner Party, and objects from the museum's European, Indian, and Contemporary collections will also be shown with the installation. The installation as a whole will serve as another step toward the artist's goal to "bring to light feminist and queer narratives."

"Chitra Ganesh: Eyes of Time" opens on Dec. 12 and runs through July 12. For more info, head to the exhibition page.
