In collaboration with photographer Henry Hargreaves, Amirah Kassem of Flour Shop in New York is opening an exhibition at Wallplay (118 Orchard Street) in honor of the Wu-Tang Clan's 20th Anniversary. Entitled "C.R.E.A.M. (Cakes Rule Everything Around Me)" after the popular Wu-anthem, Kassem's exhibition features desserts inspired by the legendary crew from Staten Island. It is a part of a larger multi-media group exhibition at the gallery entitled "Wu Tang Hybrid Arts" (or "WU HA") which runs through December 9 and opens as a Japanese American National Museum exhibition in September of 2014.
"C.R.E.A.M. (Cakes Rules Everything Around Me)" opens November 13. To RSVP, hit up wallplay@thecityfirm.com and check out Kassem's website for more information.
