IENKI IENKI expands its portfolio with their first ski collection, build using innovative fabrics and tailoring techniques.

For Fall 2019, IENKI IENKI looks to push the envelope further than ever, committing to working with a range of new fabrications in conjunction with innovative approaches to tailoring. In creating their first ski collection, the brand looked to the material and technological needs of the slopes explorers, keeping these needs at the core of the design process. This point of inspiration led to the inclusion of advanced technology such as RECCO detectors, an electronic search system used to find individuals lost in the mountains, while PrimaLoft serves as an alternative to goose down. The inclusion of these elements and Velcro fasteners designed to be used at least 10,000 times demonstrate a commitment to performance within the collection, achieved without sacrificing the signature IENKI IENKI attitude.

Further diversification of the brand's arsenal arrives via a newly introduced knitwear line, comprising of cashmere sweaters and accessories. While these are welcomed compliments, outerwear is where the brand shines and Fall 2019 offers a broader look into the apparel component. New styles stepping into the fray include the coat shape weather-resistant puffer 'Duffle Coat' and 'MAC Coat'. Commenting on the direction of the collection, IENKI IENKI founder Dima Levenko said: “We continue to concentrate on outerwear, but expand the brand’s range with specialized lines. One of the main steps for us this season is the launch of clothing for mountain sports. Now IENKI IENKI is suitable not only for apres-ski pastime but also for an active day on the slopes”.

Maintaining a strong aesthetic across all mediums, the collection comes complete with a visual campaign shot by Sasha Samsonva in Death Valley, bringing each of the collection's exciting new additions to life against one of nature's great marvels. Speaking on the visual treatment, Levenko commented: “We invited Ukrainian Sasha Samsonova to shoot the campaign. She has been living in California for a long time, and I am constantly watching her progress and enjoying her work. Sasha feels the female body, light, and composition, and works with all of these in her images. I like to build a Ukrainian team around the brand, and Sasha is now a great part of it".

IENKI IENKI's Fall collection is available now via their online store, as well as select global retailers.
