There are endless hilarious Amazon reviews out there, but Amazon is not a big fan of all the trolls leaving fake reviews on the site. The company recently filed a law suit against 1,114 "John Does" who allegedly wrote fake reviews, according toBBC. Amazon claims these people have been offering their services for $5 via the website Fiverr.com.

Though it might seem like dramatic action to take against a few fake reviews, Amazon argues that "these reviews can significantly undermine the trust that consumers and the vast majority of sellers and manufacturers place in Amazon, which in turn tarnishes Amazon's brand."

While anyone can write a review, regardless of whether or not they actually bought the product, Amazon's terms and conditions specifically ban reviews left for pay. Let's hope these lawsuits don't stop people from leaving reviews just for the laughs.
