J. Cole and Bally have connected to create a short film as well as a limited-edition collection of boots and backpacks.
The short film, Off the Grid, shows J. Cole traveling through the tropical jungles of Jamaica wearing the new hiking boots and backpack. The clip documents what happens as Cole disconnects from technology and throws himself into the wilderness.
In the film, Cole visits the hometown of Bob Marley as a way to pay tribute to Bally's longstanding connection with hip-hop. "While I was visiting the Bally office in London, I noticed a black-and-white picture of Bob Marley wearing a pair of Bally boots," Cole says. “I was impressed with the heritage of the company and how many people and places they’ve touched that I had no clue about."
The range of hiking books is rendered in both leather and suede and features the traditional hooked eyelets.
