DDUGOFF Spring/Summer 2016 Has A Solid Future

None

There's something about strolling through the racks of a trade show that automatically brings out the cynic in people, especially if you're an esteemed member of the press such as myself. You wonder who is actually going to move units, why they're there and start to feel like the gatekeeper of what brands are going to be successful. It's a weird, beautiful storm of delusional egomania. But sometimes there is a brand that you just know is going to pop off and DDUGOFF is one of them. The New York-based brand started by Daniel Dugoff is the perfect blend of eccentricity with just plain good style. Color-blocked knits, polyurethane-coated outerwear for ultra water-resistance, track stripe motifs, subtle shirting patterns and outlandish stripe arrangements on pajama-style shirts all stand out when you look closely at S/S 16. It's really just a wonderful change of pace from the expected and Daniel has more than a solid future going forward where his work will be carried in such banger accounts like Opening Ceremony, Neighbour and East Dane. Get on the bandwagon before it's all filled up, fam.
