The Weird World Of Cult Fashion Clips

None

At the rate fashion moves right now, it almost feels like coverage of the industry didn't exist before, like, the year 2000. Though we didn't have phones with high quality cameras on them for popping off fire 'grams or anything, there is a slew of crazy old fashion clips floating around the web. Dazed rounded up a few of them for your viewing pleasure, but we'd like to draw your attention to just two: a 1985 profile interview with our main man Karl Lagerfeld and a soap opera appearance by Jeremy Scott on The Young And The Restless.

Lagerfeld makes the most of just a little time on screen and lets us in on the fact that he carried fans everywhere he went and used them at parties because he doesn't drink or smoke, so it was a means of keeping his hands busy while also keeping the smoke of others out of his face, all of this spoken over an amazing '80s beat that could just have easily been used as background music for your dad's favorite porno.

Scott, on the other hand, comes in hot wearing a reptile green getup as he hears proposals for his store's merchandising. How many middle-aged women watching Y&R on a weekday do you think actually knew who he even was? I'm going with a solid zero. The clip has a surprisingly low view count as well despite the episode airing in 2010.
