Eytys has carved out a very specific lane for themselves within menswear: the super thick-soled sneaker. It's basically a Vans Authentic with an extra 1" of sole. But the brand is now thinking a little bigger and expanding out of solely shoes with a new bag collection. Style Dot Com got the first look and talked to the designer about, um, why bags? To be honest, I'm not the biggest bag guy. I have an old, ratty ass tote that I should probably get rid of and a backpack I don't wear all that much because backpacks are for children, but these are pretty damn tight. The three-piece line of a document holder, tote and backpack is made of polyester coated with polyurethane and are waterproof, yet still look dope, which comes along with the best rationale ever. According to Eytys co-founder Max Schiller: "As I commute by boat between my home on an island in the Stockholm archipelago and the city, I need bags that are functional and water-resistant without making me look as though I’m geared up to go on a kayak hike." ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? HE COMMUTES FROM HIS HOME ON AN ISLAND TO STOCKHOLM. Max, I'm not sure if you're aware, but you just stunted on so many people in so few words. The sheer nature of this flex—a humble problem born out of a truly amazing lifestyle—makes me want to buy one of your bags. Mission fucking accomplished.
