The exclusivity of New York Fashion Week is pretty much non-existent these days, thanks in large part to social media. From the street style to the catwalks to the backstage chaos, there’s almost no aspect of the event that isn’t posted on the Internet—especially on Instagram.
This season, NYFW accumulated 85 million likes and comments from about 17 million Instagram users worldwide. And, as expected, Kanye West was a common denominator for several of the week’s most popular images; one of which was a picture of ‘Ye speaking with Anna Wintour right before the presentation of his Yeezy Season 1 collection for adidas Originals. His presence at the Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter 2015 runway show also resulted in two other prominent images: one of Kanye sitting front row decked out in head-to-toe RRL, and the other showing a brief meeting between him and the celebrated American designer backstage.
Kanye’s sister-in-law, Kendall Jenner, also racked in an impressive amount of likes (943,000 to be exact) with a candid image captioned with “bye #NYFW.”
