Kanye West, who'll be debuting his adidas line at New York Fashion Week, is definitely here to let you know he can and will design.
Giuseppe Zanotti just released a pair of black women's heels. But these aren't just any $1,395 shoes—they were designed by Kanye specially for Kim Kardashian. According to the description on the label's website, the shoes, aptly called the "Mrs. West (2012)", was "created by Kanye West for his bride-to-be Kim." The shoes are part of Giuseppe Zanotti's five-piece 20th Anniversary Edition: Rock'n'roll Collection, which celebrates the designer's signature style.
This isn't the first time Kanye has worked with Giuseppe, who the rapper has been friends with since 2009. In 2012, the pair collaborated on four pairs of shoes exclusively made for Kanye's debut Spring 2012 runway show in Paris, including the the beaded sandals Kim wore to the event. Giuseppe also revealed in the article he wrote for Style.com that they worked on never-released sneakers (which our friends at Four Pins may have found) the same time he released his first men's collection in June 2012, which included a silhouette inspired by Kanye. Let's not forget the shoes they designed that were inspired by G.O.O.D Music's album, Cruel Summer, released the same time the album was and would go on to be one of the label's most iconic styles and inspire a similar silhouette included in Giuseppe's 20th anniversary JEWEL collection.
It's no surprise then that Kanye and Giuseppe have worked together again. After all, Giuseppe told E! News back in December 2014 that if "there are some special requests or if there is something to do, I'm happy." He has also designed custom footwear for little North, who he says he adores.
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Cop one for your girl here.
