Quiet Elegance Vs. Deafening Awkwardness

None

Mr. Porter describes this Balenciaga wool, cashmere and silk blend sweater as exemplifying "quiet elegance." Just once I wish I could embody something like quiet elegance. Normally, I'm rocking with a deafening awkwardness even if I never even say anything. Someone once mentioned my ability to make a situation awkward without ever opening my mouth. They said it was something about how I can sit in silence for way too long. Like, a normal person would at least say something about the weather, but I always think to myself that if I talk about something super banal, they'll know I feel the awkwardness and isn't an attempt to break an awkward silence even more awkward? Which is why I just stay in my apartment trying to figure out how to afford $625 Balenciaga sweaters.
