This Tres Bien parka (in both olive and black) is exactly the type of parka I imagine myself wearing when I imagine what my life would be like had a stayed in grad school. Of course, that fantasy wouldn't be anything like how it would actually have been: Me waiting last minute to write grant proposals and always having way less funding than I could have had if I just put in a little more effort, while trying to remind myself why it's not a good idea to do drugs before giving this lecture on ancient Mesopotamian myths to a bunch of 19-year-olds that couldn't give less of a fuck. My imaginary life of academia involves me teaching abroad, but not having to learn a foreign language, winning mad teaching awards because my students love my teaching style and drinking tons of red wine with my sexy international human rights prosecutor boo. Oh, right, and $625 parkas.
