Sears, an American department store, clearly didn’t learn its lesson the first time it decided to market Nazi memorabilia.

This week, the company got a shit-ton of backlash for selling a chunky silver ring that had the Swastika on it as part of its “men’s punk rock style” jewelry collection. Because nothing will elevate your outfit better than a tacky anti-Semitic accessory.

According to Jewish parenting website Kveller, the product description read:

Find exactly what you need when browsing through our new gothic jewelry items. This gothic jewelry item in particular features a Swastika ring thats made of .925 Thai silver. Not for Neo Nazi or any Nazi implication. These jewelry items are going to make you look beautiful at your next dinner date.

Wow.

Sears has since apologized for the oversight, and explained the Swastika ring was as sold in its Marketplace outlet for third-party retailers. The product, which was also sold on Amazon.com, was quickly removed from the online stores for violating the companies’ guidelines.

Though incredibly embarrassing, Sears might take comfort in knowing it's not the only business to fuck up so royally. Similar incidents have occurred among other retailers, ranging from Sports Direct's neo-Nazi band T-shirts to Zara's concentration camp tops and swastika-embroidered bags.

That said, when are retailers/stores/brands going to learn to be more cautious and aware of what they're selling?

1.
