Space can be a pretty boring place for astronauts when they're not collecting (or whatever it is that they do up there). Koichi Wakata of the International Space Station decided to create art during his zero gravity down time. Using a LED spiral top designed by Takuro Osaka and a long exposure, Wakata created these very cool images and shared them via his Twitter account.
The awesome thing about light painting is that you can do it yourself. Obviously we don't mean the zero gravity and spiral top parts, but a light source and a good camera and you're good to go.
