On Tuesday, M.I.A. kicked off her Matangi album release with a party at The 1896 in Bushwick, Brooklyn as part of Soho House's new music and arts series, Satellite Nights. For the event, mixed-media artist José Carlos Casado created colorful projections that showcased his new collaboration with Swatch and M.I.A.

Casado's psychedelic installation pulled from M.I.A.'s visual history, using colors and themes that have appeared in her album art, music videos, and clothing.

The party was sponsored by Swatch, Corzo Tequila, Opening Ceremony and SPIN. M.I.A. performed a live set for the event, and DJs followed her act late into the night.
